Project Summary

With the aim of encouraging multidisciplinary training and entrepreneurship in the field of mobile applications and empathetic robotic interfaces for health education and healthy living, with an emphasis on health gamification, a multidisciplinary work team has been created consisting of four young graduates with profiles in: video game design and programming, online application programming for video games, robot programming for empathetic interfaces in video games, graphic design and art for video games.

This team will jointly develop a project involving innovative new technologies and products in the field of applications for therapeutic education in diabetes, as a case study of the m-health and health gamification sectors. A key aspect will be contact with the patient (end user) during the different development phases, a core aspect of the MEDERI Living Lab at the University Institute of Automation and Industrial Computing (ai2), where this project is located. This project will also involve the group’s regular clinical collaborators. As a result, the team will develop a business plan to analyze the exploitation of the developments made.
