Project Summary

This project integrates the experience in humanoid robotics and type 1 diabetes simulation of the researchers of the MEDERI Living Lab of the ai2 Institute, resulting in Andy, a NAO robot with type 1 diabetes. The objective is the use of robotics as a technology that generates empathy with children with type 1 diabetes, who learn with a robot that suffers their same problems and faces their same daily decisions for the management of their diabetes.
